I've Been Baking!!

Many of my friends would probably tell you I am a girl with many talents. I can't do all of the great, but I sure will try them. But one thing that I love to do is bake! For me it is peaceful, fun and relaxing. I love trying out new flavors and new techniques. Here is a peek at what I created for my niece's 2nd birthday (she is obsessed with Minnie Mouse!).

I made a 2 tiered White Almond Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Buttercream Icing. The cake pops (actually brownie pops) were made (using Babycakes Cake Pop maker to save time) by attaching the stick, using Wilton Candy Melts for the ears (cutting a skinny "moon" out to fit around the brownie), then melting more candy melts to coat the whole pop. The bows were made with red butterfly gummies and polka dots with more melted candy. 

It was sooooo much fun! Thanks to my Mom for making all of the fondant accents for the Minnie Mouse cake. Definitely saved me time during a busy week.
